• How would you describe your company's competitive situation prior to the acquisition?
Before the acquisition our company was strong in customer satisfaction but in business and like the world around us we must keep changing for improvement. With our full and happy client base we plan on a successful merge with RPZ. Their innovative ideas will provide our clients with exciting new marketing opportunities.
• When you were faced with this situation, what did you see as the most important facts that you needed to address?

We believed that our customers would enjoy the peace of mind to continue working with the company they knew and trusted but now they gain experienced individuals who will be able to take their social media campaigns to new levels faster than we could have done on our own.
• What alternative approaches did you consider, and how did you assess the advantages and disadvantages of each?
We could have created our own social media department but this would have created a lot of work for hiring the right people and needing more training. Not only would this solution cost us a lot of money we also had no proven track record to justify spending the time and money. We could have kept on doing what we had already done but marketers need to be early adopters to stay ahead of the curve. By merging with RPZ we could start offering new campaigns to our clients instead of taking the long and drawn out process.

I included sales projection and client retention if we did no offer these new requests, which were bleak. I did some brief research on how much time and money it would cost to create a new department to handle these requests. I also included a few of the other marketing firms that offered these services as well. We decided to reach out to these companies and see if any of them would consider a merger. As a group we decided that RPZ was the closet in line with our mission statement and we believed they would get along with our current
