I love traveling and exploring new places as long as it is for free. Wild-land firefighters travel across the country. I know it is because of work, but you can visit tourist attractions in particular city/state in spare time.
It is a common idea that traveling gives people a greater insight on the dynamics of the world as they experience different cultures and ways of life. This can be seen in the short story Wedding at the Cross by Ngugi wa Thiong’o where traveling greatly influences the main character Wariuki’s outlook of the world. Wariuki starts off as being a very poor but very happy man until he gets humiliated by his father in law, Douglas Jones, for not being wealthy enough to pay for a wedding at a church or provide for his wife. This ignites a fire in Wariuki to prove his Douglas Jones wrong and he goes to great lengths to accumulate enough wealth to become higher class and not be looked down upon. The great lengths that Wariuki goes through to try and
For some people, their idea of traveling is to get on the road to Dubuque. But for Cole Wickham, an active 10th grader at Anamosa High School, traveling includes seeing half of the United States, as well as Canada and Jamaica. Cole says he likes traveling because he gets to experience new things.
After reading the article, one point that most caught my attention was how the writer said that there are many more nice people in the world than there are bad people. I find it unjust on how humans tend to emphasize on the bad acts of other people rather than the kindness shared and kept in the minds of the generous. Another interesting point that the writer concluded the article by saying how much of an experience you would lose than gain if you stayed at home. I like this idea that you have to get up and attack life. Live life to its full potential and live in the moment because you will lose much more than you gain if you stay complacent.
The 21st century has opened up new ways of travel for the newer and future generations. Perry Patetic in his passage suggests that due to the level of mobility in our lifetime there lacks the close relationships of living in one general area. He continues by listing hypothetical advantages and disadvantages of traveling. The authors purpose is to point out that the current generations have become less attached to other people and should stay in one spot and create close relationships. The author creates a monotone tone for our generation and generations to come.
Imagine getting away from the monotony of your everyday life. You can lie on the beach sipping a cool drink miles away from your worries of getting a paper done or helping a customer at work. You can be on top of a mountain overlooking beautiful lands that are different from your own backyard. Half of the class has taken a vacation less than five times in their lifetimes, but let’s face that most of those probably included those little family vacations to Disneyland. But, all of you said that you planned to travel someday. So, why not do it sooner than later? One of the reasons for not traveling that many of you put is not having time because of school or work. Also, one of your major concerns is
Also, I feel that traveling is a wonderful way to help become a more well-rounded individual. I have always loved traveling and I feel that traveling to a new place and immersing yourself in the culture is a wonderful way to grow as an individual and become more in tune with who you are. I feel that culture is a forever-changing aspect of your personality. With each trip I take, I feel that I change a little bit for the better. Travel gives me a sense of serenity and it makes me feel better in touch with my own feelings.
Slow down... before you jump in the ole' vacation-mobile and hit the road to adventure, there are a few details to consider to ensure your time of enjoyment and decompression doesn't become a source of stress and woe.
Traveling could change your ability of thinking differently. Especially when we are sitting with friends, we can share our travel experiences also travel can help you relieve stress in the following ways: meet new people, new culture and new life style perhaps totally different than yours. And if you plan on open new business, it’s a perfect way to
Traveling, in general, makes people healthier. Occasional travelers report lower stress levels and lower risks of heart attacks. These benefits even stay awhile after the trip has ended. According to Larry Alton, “traveling has been scientifically proven to lower stress levels.” (NBC News) This is because traveling is like taking a break from one’s hectic life. One gets to think about themselves and relax. People feel less anxious and tend to forget about problems that usually bother them. In a way, they disconnect from their busy lives.
Where you go can influence how your trip will be. If you go to an amusement park, such as Disneyland, you should expect to have some enhancement of stress due to lines, prices, or poor weather. However, if you are one of the individuals that get all sun and no lines, then you might enjoy yourselves. If you are traveling to a relative’s house or town, you may feel more relaxed if you like said relatives. However, if you have too many relatives or don’t like said relatives, you may become even more stressed than before you left. If you travel to another state or outside the country you are more likely to be relaxed if you go to your native language speaking country or region. My family has traveled outside of our home multiple times before, and we have even lived in a whole other continent, with different cultures and scenes, in Singapore. From Singapore, you have a wider range of places to go for cheaper than in the United States. My favorite places to travel have been New Zealand and the Philippines so far. When my family travels for fun, most of the time we end up enjoying ourselves if it’s planned well. The major problem with traveling outside of the country, and even states, is the time difference. Jetlag, or time difference, is when your body is accustomed to your home’s time zone and when you travel and there is a time difference your body does not adjust for what experts say one day for every hour difference. Compared to Texas the Philippines has a fourteen hour time difference, and New Zealand has a nineteen hour time difference. Jetlag can also affect your overall enjoyment of a family vacation because you have to be awake and not irritable in order to have fun. On the other hand, vacationing is not about where you go, but who you go with.
Yes to some people who haven't traveled it sounds crazy and they would ask “You want to lose yourself?” My answer is yes, yes I do. I want to engage in those conversations of a lifetime with my friends, turned to family, about the castles of Ireland, I want to get lost in the smallest town but know it's fine because there's a nice elder man in his shop that's willing to help us back. All while leaving pieces of me behind, because it's changing me for the better. Being 15 and having been schooled for over half my life my head is stuffed full of knowledge, but this knowledge is special, and only those who travel know what I mean. It's a knowledge that's not possibly enough to capture in stories, and pictures. A new grasp on life that gets me excited to go home to my family and friends and share my experience and help them to travel and broaden their own knowledge. But I don't want to stop there, I want to share my adventures and knowledge with the girl I babysit down the street, the nice customer at my work, future students looking into traveling with TAPS or by
Until now, I have travelled Japan, The United Kingdom and The United States. Although it may not be too much, traveling gave me a total different view and new insight to understand and think about the whole world. I found only travelling can let you learn and draw a lot when enjoying the fabulous scene. So I always believe that a person need more travel experiences to correct and promote himself.
Fatigue and monetary value of the trip can overcome your thoughts during these kinds of short trips, but trust us, business travel can be so much more than that. Trips to new, exciting places can be way more than getting work done in a new location. It can be pretty exhausting, both physically and mentally, but it can also be stimulating. Some people return from these adventures with new knowledge and a whole different perspective on work, and even life.
In the text of Business Dictionary (2016), travel is act of traversing through a geographic region or moving from one place to another. This can be temporarily, as is often the case and can be for a short period of time. Travel also is kind of life, except it happens someplace else. You wake up. You eat. You go out and see things, do things. And you meet people; some of them you get along with, some you don’t. Everyone likes to make the travel as a hobby for them. But, before making a plan to travelling, there is several things need to survey.
