It was a warm Summer night in July, when i finally laid my head on my pillow after a relaxing day. I had began to get used to my days being this peaceful. Usually i would be all wound up, worrying about the damage my next door neighbors son is causing. The little boy’s name is Red Chief, or should i say little monster because that’s what he acts like. As i laid in bed i thought that maybe i should mow my grass in the morning. I had just bought a new riding lawn mower, and i wanted to test it out. I would be able to do that now without Red Chief being in my way. So the next morning, i got up just as the sun rose to start my day. I continued my way to my garage where my new mower was so that i could mow the grass. As i approached the doors i
Change is inevitable. Whether it be positive or negative, change is constantly happening. More than often change can take you from the known world and spit you into the unknown, where you return a changed person. While embarking on the journeys provoked by change, you are on a hero’s journeys. The hero’s journey was popularized by Joseph Campbell. When describing what prompts hero’s journeys, Joseph Campbell said,
In 2014 I had just started my senior year of high school. I was eighteen with great grades and captain of the colorguard. One would think that I was responsible with everything in my life. A huge responsibility that I took on was the privilege to drive. My license was freshly laminated, and I was ready to get out and experience one of the first steps of adulthood. Soon I realized that glancing down at my phone for just a split second could have changed everything.

I am inquiring about any possible positions you may have available at Camp Red Frog in Chicago. I’ve routinely checked the job postings on the website for around a year, because I wanted to get a head start while I was still in college to see the requirements. Most job postings appeared to require multiple years of experience within the respective field. As a recent graduate from the University of Delaware this spring, I currently do not have the necessary years of experience. However, I am committed to this company for all it has given to me, and was curious if there were any other possible employment possibilities? I noticed on the webpage for job listings it mentions there are internships and temp positions offered as well. I am signed up for job alerts from Red Frog, but have not seen a listing for either of those opportunities. Is there a way I may apply for one of those positions, or are there any openings for fulltime work without the experience requirement? I am hoping to get my foot in the door, and hopefully begin working towards a career with Red Frog.
My uncle, Gary Norder, is my American Hero because of his devotion toward me, and my family, The times he spends with me, and the effort he puts toward to support his family and mine amazes me. My uncle and his brothers started a company called Custom Caulking. The Norder brothers say it's been hard for them, but they still manage to sustain a wealthy business.
Today has been the most eventful day in all my life. I almost got my leg cut off, tried to kill myself, and became a war hero, in line to be promoted to Lieutenant. I cannot remember much from the first battle, in which I almost lost my foot, besides the blinding pain the came during it. I suspect the feeling will not leave me for the rest of my days. Pain so blinding I could not even manage a scream of pain. If was as if lightning had struck me and all the hornets in the world had decides that I was their worst enemy. The torture felt as if it had lasted for hours though only seconds after the attack I passed out and was dragged off of the battlefield. I woke up in the hospital tent, surrounded by bloody knives and surgery instruments, and looked outside to see what was to become my fate, a man hobbling along on one foot, being supported by tree branches alone.
I am your Mohican war chief leader. I would like to join the French side. By doing this we benefit in many ways. I will go into further explanation about what I mean. Until then hear me out.
-According to the recording this has been going on for some time now – Coulson tells Thor as soon as the recording has ended.
“We are gathered here today to celebrate the life of Alayne Karola Voss, she was a loving mother a dedicated worker and a woman who spent her life helping others.” The crowd was silent as the child of the deceased stood in the sand surrounded by loved ones. Many people came to pay tribute to the woman they adored, her body now severed from her soul and turned to ash. “My mother as all of you know a would not want today to be a day of tears and longing but rather a day of remembrance and joy. A day to gather and think of all the times you shared with her, good and bad.” A few small smiles spread throughout the blanket of black, as the waves washed up on the shore the woman dearly loved.
Sea gulls bickered on the warm, morning breeze over head. The waves lulled the vessel boat to-and-fro as it skimmed through Blackwater Bay. The water sparkled like sapphires, clear and bright under the sun. From the bow of the boat, Alayna peered out towards the Narrow Sea. Beyond the bay, adventure called her like a siren song. She longed to explore the lands beyond Westeros. However, this voyage wouldn’t ferry her towards that dream. She’d continue to dream of that journey. The schooner wouldn’t be sailing beyond the bay.
What if you were destined to save your town, would you be heroic enough? What is a hero? Campbell’s Heroic Journey, The Hobbit, and story/ film explains. My idea of a hero is being a person who sacrifices themselves for others, and doesn't think people are less worthy than themselves. The Heroic Journey describes that anyone can be a hero, examples of that would be The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, which is a story about a group of men go on a death defying journey to save the town. The other story is How to Train Your Dragon is similar with other supernatural events. Such as dragons and bugs. Despite having similar heroes, The Hobbit had a stronger Heroic Journey because there were more obstacles.
There I was sleeping wonderfully one summer morning, and then all of a sudden I heard the never-ending sound of a lawnmower right outside of my window. As I was walking into the kitchen barely awake with nothing but my boxers on I heard the lawnmower come to a sudden stop and my granddad comes in and says to me “come help me boy” in his thick Vietnamese accent. Somewhat annoyed, I threw on some clothes and went outside only to discover that he wanted me to cut the front yard. Unfortunately I couldn’t even crank the mower up; usually a parent would intervene and crank it for you but not my granddad he just stood there watching with his stern look and well placed E-Z-GO cap. Eventually I get it to crank so off I go plowing through the thick, wet grass. I finished very quickly and at that moment I thought, “Why does it take my granddad forever to do this easy job?” I turn the lawn mower off and my granddad very calmly cranks it back up and cuts over the whole yard again. As confused as I was, I simply went back into the house and carried on with my day. I never asked why he did that, I’m assuming that my job was horribly done and only now it makes sense as to why I finished with such speed.
Two days ago, I went to Battle Creek. I was at my cousin's house. One of them is a high school basketball player at my old school. So he drove there in his car. My brother and I went with him. When we went inside, the first people I saw where two of my friends.
I tried to cover my red softball uniform with a pink velour jacket. The red uniform was visible under the jacket. However, my teammates were not trying to cover their uniforms and the black numbers on their jerseys seemed to sparkle under the sun. I was wearing my jacket with jeans because I did not want my parents going to my softball games. I did not want them at the games as I was tired of being yelled at for every mistake. I walked up to my Dad’s green pickup, and got into the truck.
Today is a great morning. I got up this morning with a smile on my face today This most dazzling smile means that Red Chief is coming back home. When I saw him, quick as a serpent I say a quick hello for him and run. I say hi to him to the cool, awesome, and charming little boy since i miss him. Bam! “ what the heck was that” I said running to the sound. “What are you doing” I said to Red Chief “ Playing Slingshot at dogs” He said. “Could you please stop it” ? I asked “No now leave me alone, sir” he said. Then I went back home ran as fast as i could back to my house, Pack my stuff and move to another town. After a month, I finally move in a different house I will miss speaking to my neighbor Red Chief.
