The Black Mamba, Kobe Bean Bryant, became the youngest player to ever join the NBA, and has struggled personally to become one of the most successful players of all time.\\\\\ Kobe Bryant was born on August 23rd in 1978 and named after a famous steakhouse. At just the age of 6 Kobe’s dad (Joe Bean Bryant) had retired from the NBA and decided to move his family to Italy to play overseas basketball. But I tell you, don’t be angry with anyone. If you are angry with others, you will be judged. And if you insult someone, you will be judged by the high court. And if you call someone a fool, you will be in danger of the fire of hell. “So, what if you are offering your gift at the altar and remember that someone has something against you? Leave your gift there and go make peace with that person. - Matthew 5:22-24
Can a simple speech rouse a passion for freedom in even those who have given up all hope for their leaders? In the book Killer Angels and the movie Gettysburg a speech such as this was made. This speech was made by Joshua Chamberlain, the leader of the 20th Maine division of the Union Army. One day 160 deserters were left at his doorstep. Chamberlain gave a speech that inspired 114 men to fight for freedom. While analyzing this speech it is easy to see that there are many ways and reason to be inspired by this wonderful speech.
What it takes to be number one by Vince Lombardi, the speaker talks about winning and losing. The speech was given in 1967 in the locker room to his teammate before the super bowl in L.A California. As an American football player, coach, and executive in the National Football League. He also won the first two Super Bowls following the 1966 and 1967. Also, he best known as the head coach of the Green Bay Packers during the 1960s. Throughout the speech Lombardi applies different rhetorical strategies as metaphor, appeals, allusion, diction, understatement, etc., arguing the winning is everything but you also you can’t win if you didn’t lose, his purpose motivate his team to win and the time but eventually his speech became and motivational address to the American people, and to everyone who reads it.
“He gave the term “complete” a new meaning. He made the word “superstar” seem inadequate. He had about him the touch of royalty." This was a quote stated by former commissioner of Major League Baseball, Bowie Kuhn while speaking during Roberto Clemente’s eulogy. When baseball season came around in seventh grade, my coach of the Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School team, Fabrizo Morejon, explained that he wore the number 21 in honor of his childhood hero Roberto Clemente. He seemed such an advocate of this man that it gave me a strong motive to research and to find out who this man really was. When I began to read all about him, I found that his career was not just filled with spectacular baseball achievements, but even more so was all about
First, a list of his accomplishments. Kobe was drafted out of highschool at the age of seventeen, broke into the league by winning the Slam Dunk contest in his rookie season, and by age of twenty-five he was a three time world champion. He was the youngest person to be named a NBA All-Star at the age of nineteen. The combination of his talents with the talents of Shaquille O’Neal was the greatest “one-two punch” of all time. That is an objective fact. Shaq himself has even admitted that had the duo stayed together after the 2004 season, they most certainly would have gone on to win additional world championships, but Kobe didn’t need Shaq. When it was all said and done, Kobe ended up with five rings to his name to O’Neals four - all five with the Lakers I might add.
Yelling “KOBE” while throwing a crumpled paper ball into the trashcan is something every sports fan in the world have done at one point of their life. After winning five time NBA championships, voted two time NBA Final MVP, two time scoring champion, his accomplishments speaks for his greatness, and that is Kobe Bryant. Bryant is now a retired professional basketball player who played in Los Angeles Lakers for 20 years. Throughout his remarkable career, Bryant developed a heroic figure as he pursued Michael Jordan’s footsteps and overcoming him toward the end of his career. He is considered a hero because he has the trait of being determined, fearless, and inspirational.

A highly influencing person that visited to our school was Bobby Jones. He came to share his story with us on October 23. Bobby Jones grew up in Yankton, South Dakota, with his parents, his brother, and his sister. Bobby came to persuade our students about staying on track and not to go down the wrong paths in life. A powerful message was delivered that day. He had a very specific goal, which was to tell us his story and give us more of an insight to stay focused on life. Bobby Jones had great information for everyone and I will always remember this presentation. He had a unique way of getting the audience’s attention. Frequently, he would do clapping exercises with the audience, which was very fitting due to the audience members who attended. There were middle school students at this speech as well as high school students. In that aspect, I feel as if he did a great job adapting to his audience.
It all started in Dubuque, Iowa. Then bam he started getting college scholarships when he was a sophomore in high school. He went to do big things in sports and make big records. On April 30, 2012 Chicago Bulls star point guard Derrick Rose comes down the lane late in the 4th quarter of a huge playoff game and tore the ACL in his left knee. In life we have to overcome many obstacles and much adversity to obtain success in whatever we would like to do in life. Derrick Rose gave me the motivation and the will power to never quit and go through any adversity we face.
I am a football fan. My favorite team is the Green Bay Packers. In my house a couple of weeks ago tension ran high. Why? Well, because my husband is a Cowboys fan and the Packers took them out of the running for the super bowl. Now, this past Sunday my husband was super happy to watch the Falcons beat the Packers, as for me I was devastated. This year the packers started off pretty week. They had a lot of people on the injury list. To see them come back and get as far as they did, I was a proud fan. Some may want to know if I am going to watch the super bowl, since my team is out. Of course I am! It would be un-American not to watch, but at the same time I really just want to see the Falcons lose since they beat the Packers. Let’s talk super
I am talking about Marshawn lynch because Marshawn lynch is a very good runner back. Marshawn lynch plays on the Seattle Seahawks. Marshawn lynch was first drafted to the buffalo bills that was his first team in the NFL. Marshawn lynch is nicked named “beast mode” for his aggressiveness running style, propensity for breaking tackles, and consistent ability to run over defenders
Have you ever had a life changing moment? Many individuals have faced life changing experiences like Feng Ru in the “Father of Chinese Aviation”, like Jackie Robinson in ‘I Never Had It Made’, and like Melba Pattillo Beals in ‘Warriors Don’t Cry.’
