Another important benefit of implementing technology in the classroom is it can help teachers create personalize instruction and make it easier to provide accommodations. It can be very difficult and time consuming to differentiate instruction for a classroom of students. The use of technology can make this a much more workable task. By using technology, the teacher can differentiate instruction with just a few swipes per student. It also gives the teacher more options to work with depending on student need. For example, if a student has trouble writing, they can use an iPad with voice adaptive software to answer questions or complete assignments. This eliminates the stress they may feel being forced to write during an assignment or test situation.

Students with chromebooks would be better because it would be easier to collaborate with friends in group projects so they can be done quicker. With students getting work done faster more things could be taught throughout the year. It would be beneficial because grades would be improved. Teachers can help students who are struggling in class by sending them links to things that could help them improve their grades. We've all heard about electronics in schools, whether you are a parent who has been called repeatedly about your kid being glued to it in class or one of said students, it has been present. The Chromebook has been regarded as a way to revolutionize learning, but it also has a slew of consequences. So we are left with the everlasting question of whether or not it is a viable method of learning.

What were educators thinking when they decided to enforce Chromebooks into the school’s education system? They were thinking about the connection between student and teacher, but they forgot to mention other important details. If Chromebooks are introduced into the school’s system, it would end up being a lot more complicated and a hassle than most would think. Chromebooks should not be introduced to the school’s system due to poor policy in privacy, due to WiFi connectivity problems, and due to conflicts in affordability.

This divide between student and teacher experience and comfort with technology seems to have been exacerbated with the one-to-one implementation of chromebooks at City Middle School. Although all students were given a chromebook for classroom usage in January of 2016, teachers were given little adequate prior training regarding pedagogical implementation strategies. Lack of teacher training, compounded with administrative expectation that the devices must be utilized in the classrooms, has resulted in issues arising regarding the effective integration of the chromebooks for teaching and learning. The devices seem to be used, in many cases, as a substitution for traditional pencil, paper, or research tools, resulting in some incidences of low engagement and misuse of the devices. To understand how chromebooks can be better utilized in teaching and learning to promote student engagement in the middle school environment, various methods of implementation strategies, pedagogical methods and teacher beliefs about learning and technology were studied at City Middle School. Chromebooks are a new technology that have been implemented into Green High Schools education system. Are they better for the students or the teachers? Do they truly help the education system? Have they made it easier for students to cheat? Have they created lazy teachers? Should teachers be able to change due dates change overnight? There are simply so many questions about the Chromebooks. Faculty seem to love them and on the other hand many students seem to hate them. As a student I have grown to hate these miniature trash bins for many reasons. When the wifi goes out absolutely nothing can be done. The pieces of technology are prone to break quite easily. Furthermore it has created a crutch for many faculty at Green High School. Chromebooks truly have created a hassle for our young adults at GHS.

It’s the end of school and you know what that means. It means the school board is going to have sixth through eighth graders white down if we should or shouldn’t have chrome books and why. I think that all Chesterfield schools should continue to have chromebooks. We should have chromebooks because they’re helpful,there is important homework sites and I personally work faster when I type instead of write.

The school board has been talking about getting rid of chromebooks.I think they are beneficial to all the students in Chester.

When you write, putting a pen to the paper it stimulates the brain more than any other activity. You even work your brain sending e-mails, texts, and tweets. Studies show that when writing in cursive it improves brain development. Cursive helps stimulate your mind in the way of thinking, language, and working memory. When typing you have then absence to all of those critical parts of working your mind. The College Board even found that people/kids who wrote in cursive they got higher tests scores, than those who didn’t.

First of all, teachers won't have anything to teach. Teachers are all over chromebooks, because they find websites to help students learn. Teachers always want students to be successful in life, but obviously the school boards really don't care about students being successful since they’re taking chromebooks away.

Taking chromebooks away will cause several problems. These would be teachers having to take more time grading papers by hand. In addition teachers having to do more work at home

Do you ever feel stumped on a word or math problem? Well that's chromebooks come in. my opinion is that fifth graders should have chromebooks. Chromebooks give you information, it's easier to type on a computer instead of writing. If you use a website you could bookmark it and never lose it.

Transferring the teaching method from out of the textbook to laptops can be very distracting. Of course all electronic devices come with games or at least some application you can download. The Students will be able to access many apps including; games, email, social media, and instant messaging classmates (Hurst). Even without this change, students are already constantly on their phones texting or playing games during classes. Do we really want to have more distractions?

(Aragon- Mendizabal 2016) When taking notes longhand, writers must summarize, paraphrase, and relate concepts to one another in order to record the information in a timely enough manner. (University Wire 2016) Also, proofreading abilities are reduced on typed work, possibly due to the over usage of tools such as grammar and spelling check. (Lessien 2013) Success for students who hand write is documented not only for college students, but for young learners as well.

Cursive writing is a faster way of writing than printing. Because kids brain involved in thinking language and working memory (William 2014). It is important that student writer at a speed that will enable them to finish their lask. Copying text like a poem helps kids to internalize (Cindi, 2014).
