Another reason evolution should not be taught in schools is that it disclaims scientific laws that are already established as being true. John Morris who earned his Doctorate in Geological Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and is the current president of the ICR; stated in his article titled, Should the Public Schools Teach Creation that, “evolution flies in the face of established scientific law, including the second law of thermodynamics, the law of cause and effect, and the law of biogenesis, as well as not being harmonious with observed data. Fossil gaps are real, there are limits on genetic variability, favorable mutations are essentially non-existent, etc” (John Morris). The first scientific law the quote talks about is the Second Law of …show more content…

The vase cannot break on its own something, or someone has to cause it to break. The Law of cause and effect is saying that for every cause there is an effect, but not all things that happen to an animal cause it to evolve, for example they can die from a disease or from having lack of food because of an over populated population of organisms. The last law the quote talks about is the Law of Biogenesis this definition comes from Biology-Online an online biology dictionary it states that, “The Law of Biogenesis is the principle stating that life arises from pre-existing life, not from nonliving material” (Biology-Online). This definition is basically stating that cats come from cats not some non-existing matter or another organism. This brings us to the first thing the quote talks about another theory, or myth of animals with mutant bodies they are called “missing links”.
