If you look up the definition of hero what comes up is, "a person, typically a man, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.", and then after that is the example, "a war hero", but that is highly debatable. Personally, I don't think there is an actual definition of hero because everyone has a different opinion on what they think a hero is. For example, I consider a hero is someone who is willing to risk their life for you, care about you, and puts you before them, but when asking a friend of mine what the definition of a hero is for them they simply said someone who saves lives. Everyone has their own idea of what a hero is and what a hero does. Most people think that guys like superman and batman are heroes because they have incredible superpowers and they are famous people who receive glory. Many people describe heroes as strong and indestructible people, however, heroes are actually not always famous and they are not always the way that society portrays them. In fact, most heroes are ordinary people who do extraordinary things and have notable traits for society to follow. Although heroes are mostly overlooked or misinterpreted by many people, a hero is always a courageous, selfless, and persistent person who has the determination to create change for the better.

What exactly is a hero? To some it’s a fictional character with a cape who possesses a special power that helps them do great things for others; and to others it a completely different story. To me, a hero is someone who has made a good difference on not just my life, but others as well and has inspired us to never give up, to better ourselves, and to try and live life to the fullest. For example, Josh Hamilton, he has made a big difference and has had a good impact on my life in probably every aspect you can think of and not only that, but he has shown me that you can always get back up and fight, you can always overcome your life’s obstacles, also he has shown me that you should always have your faith in the Lord.

A hero is not always a person that can fly or that has superhuman powers. A hero is somebody that helps another person out in a time of need. This can be anything from being in a life or death situation, or just stepping in and helping when another person is getting bullied. A Hero can be anybody, young, old, man or woman. However, you do have to have some special characteristics that not everybody has. Heroes have to want to help, put others before themselves, be brave and courageous, and be a leader.

originally, I assumed that a hero was someone who fought villains in movies or had superpowers. Although I assumed that those who fought villains in movies or had superpower are a hero, now I believe that hero is someone who does extraordinary things such as put their lives in danger situations for others, someone who helps other and save someone. On the other hand, I believe that not everyone single person can be a hero because they don´t care about others and only know how to protect themselves.

I believe that a hero is someone who never gives up, is selfless, always stays positive, and remains hopeful in the hardest of times to be hopeful in. They are kind to all they meet, no matter the person. They are brave when things get a little scary. They are willing to sacrifice whatever they have to make sure the job gets done, and they have confidence in doing it. They are role models in every aspect, and anybody who knows them would strive to be like them in any way possible.

What I think of a hero is someone who is brave, strong, trustworthy, who can protect you, and make your life a whole lot better in so many ways. A hero to me is a person that will always be there for you no matter what, they will stick by your side, even when things get a little rough and tough, my tutu has never left my side and I know my tut will always be there for me either if I'm upset, mad, sad, or even celebrating an accomplishment.

Growing up the definition of a hero for me was someone strong, handsome, intelligent and daring. But as I grew older, I began to find other qualities that mattered more like courage, honesty, bravery, and selflessness. I myself can be described as a hero, because I moved, overcame my shyness, and now got many great friends and I don’t live in a sketchy area anymore.
