Australian Unity is a large scale provider of community based supports, with a client base in the order of 48,000, and approximately 4,000 front line employees. In order to support the effective delivery of those services, Australian Unity has invested in significant infrastructure. Our Home & Disability Services is led by the CEO of Independent & Assisted Living (IAL), that comprises home service and retirement living. Operationally, NSW is divided into 4 geographic regions, with each region having a general manager. Within each of those regions there are a number of Branches, and each Branch has a Branch Manager to oversee day to day operations. The CCH is a centrally located unit that is responsible for responding to client queries, client intake, and shift allocations. Operating 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, the CCH ensures that clients have direct access to Australian Unity at all times. The CCH will respond to client matters and liaise with the relevant branch as appropriate for follow up. The Talent Acquisition Team also provides direct support to Branches. The Talent Acquisition team comprises a manager, and dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialists. The team liaise with branches to forecast staff resource needs and then facilitates the recruitment and selection process. All recruitment and selection is compliant with our policy and procedures, that includes reference and probity checks. To ensure clinical services are safe and appropriate, Australian Unity also has a compliment of experienced Registered Nurses, led by a Senior Nurse Manager. Registered Nurses are responsible for all clinical client care, that would include wound assessment and care, continence assessments, catheter changes, and coordinating services with other health professionals involved in the client’s services.
