Hi, Mrs. Anderson! It's Tabbi and I was wondering about the eighth grade graduation video. Every year Mrs. James made a video that included baby pictures and other pictures from there time at Norwood. So, with Mrs. James no longer at Norwood will the graduating class still get a video? If no one is making a video who could I get in contact with to see if I could make the video. I would love to volunteer my time to make a video they will enjoy for many years to come.
I have been going to school since I was four years old and, that means that I have been attending school twenty to twenty two years, including kindergarten, middle school, high school and now college. As every student, I had my ups and downs in school; I had some failures and some successes. One of the failures that affected me the most and that I will always remember was the time that I was in high school during my junior year. I failed almost all my classes and, I only passed two classes and with a C. In the other hand I had some really good success. The most recent one and the one that I am still happy about is getting my Family Development Credential. We learn from our mistakes and also from our successes, these two times in my life
Good evening, parents, teachers, and fellow students. We are here tonight to honor our 8th graders from Heninger Elementary K-8 who have worked very hard to make to it where we are tonight. I’m one of the very lucky students that attended since pre-k and in my time here I have learned many things, not just educational but also life lessons as well and found many friendships. My fellow classmates and I are here tonight at our 8th grade promotion from Heninger Elementary. We are the graduating class of 2018!
Good Morning, Mrs. Williams Jones, Mrs. Babb, Mrs. Semper, Mr. Heaton, 8th grade teachers, families, friends, and the graduating 8th grade class. Thank you, for that very kind introduction, (INSERT NAME OF PERSON WHO INTRODUCED ME). And thank you, all for being here today at our graduation to celebrate our achievements and success. Most of you might know me, but for those who don’t, I am Jassnjot Kaur. I have been attending PS124 for nine years and I’m honored to speak to you today as your Valedictorian. Today is a very special and memorable day for not just me, but for all of us which includes us graduating students, our proud parents, and our pleased teachers.
Dear administrators, teachers, parents, beloved friends, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 8th grade graduation. It’s a pleasure to be standing in front of you today on this beautiful day to express the happiness we all feel.
Hi today I want to say what a great year we have had and for the fourth graders and under it's going to be a great time here all the way to fifth grade. You might meet some new friends you might not you might like something new like math or science but my point is change is sometimes good and dont be afraid of change.
Good evening family, friends, faculty, administration, and lastly fellow “soon to be” graduates of Haywood Middle School. It is an honor and a privilege to welcome each and every one of you to the Haywood Middle School graduation. It is just so remarkable to think that our past three years at HMS are officially coming to a close. The past three years have been full of twists and turns that have been made by countless challenges to overcome, whether they be social or academic.
For those of you who are terrified of going into Junior High...don’t be. It’ll be a breeze, at least for most of you. Just remember that you have help all around you whether it’s a teacher a classmate or a even your parents. I can remember a time when I was in Elementary School and I was afraid to transfer into Jr. High. Well now I’m afraid to go into High School. That’s why I’m here to help you through your fear. Some of the most important things in Jr. High is your academics, your personal responsibility, and your social life.
You walk in scanning the badge I gave you the night before you go up the stairs and look no one sees you . walking up to the room I told you about you go in and lock the door , in the middle of the room you see an abandon desk. in the corner is filing cabinet and there a door on the left side
Throughout life people go through so many adversities. Whether it be good or bad there is always something that arises out of the situation. One of the most thrilling, but yet frightening events to take place throughout someone’s life would be graduation. For many people, graduating from high school is an objective. It takes a lot of time, effort, and determination to accomplish that goal. For others graduation is the end of high school, and the beginning of a new chapter in life. When graduated people feel as if adulthood has begun. In the long run, graduating opens a lot of opportunities for people to thrive.
Welcome everyone who has accompanied me here today. Today is the day where we are 8th graders for the very last time. Many of us have matured over the last two year and some of us still need more time to bloom. We have faced many challenges over the course of the school years here at Ladera vista, after waves of work putting us down, yet our determination keeps us afloat. The environment here at this school is amazing. Everyone here is friendly and wants you to succeed (almost everyone).
According to a report from Thomas Nelson Community College website, 15.7 percent is the graduation rate in 2010. 84 percent of students failed to receive their degree. That’s beyond sad. College can be difficulty especially with everyday life is getting harder to main family life work and financials. Because college is challenging, I know that I have issues that I must overcome. I told myself the more patient 's I have the better success I will have. Although college will be difficult my goal is to gain the knowledge. I need to improve through my life challenges so that I won 't end up a statistic.
My freshman year things took a turn for the worse, but these obstacles made me who I am today. On June 13th, 2012 my parents got a divorce. My dad was an alcoholic, bipolar, and abusive. While he was in rehab, my mother and I were allowed to stay in his house while we saved up for a place of our own. During the summer, I babysat and once school started I cleaned houses. However, March came and my dad graduated rehab. The house was set to foreclose in thirty days and my mom and I found an apartment, but her income alone was not enough. I withdrew from school my freshman year in March after I got my cast off (I broke my tibia tumbling February 1st) and planned to complete my courses through E2020 in the summer so I could help my immediate problem. I never knew to ask if the courses were NCAA approved. I was lead to believe they were accredited because the school was offering it. During the rest of March, April, and May I worked various odd jobs, such as cleaning and teaching tumbling/gymnastics, to help bring in income. I began the E2020 classes on campus in June 2013 and worked an evening shift at the local Sonic.
When I was in high school, I would hang out with my friends and they didn’t like to do their school work so I wouldn’t do mine. We would go hang out or sleep in class. I thought that I was cool because everyone knew who I was and would invite me to parties. I started to fail most of my classes and get into trouble because of the type of people that I chose to socialize with. I would tell jokes in class about the teacher and get sent to the office.
Many people have different high school experiences or stories about when they finally felt like a highschooler or felt like they belonged. Some people might not even have had that experience yet and are still trying to belong at Wahlert Catholic High School. Personally, I have had many experiences when I finally felt like a high schooler. Such as my first year playing on the Wahlert Freshman Baseball team, talking to upperclassmen, my first year playing on the Wahlert Freshman Basketball team, or all of the times cheering in the Wahlert Volleyball, Football, and Basketball Eagle’s Nest. But, one experience truly stands out in particular, the school-wide pep rally for homecoming week.
Four years is such a small portion of many people’s lives, but the four years of high school can greatly impact one’s life. High school ,for many people, is a time to mature physically and mentally. Many find out who they are as a person and maybe who they want to become. High school teaches life lessons that can not be taught anywhere else and that people would not want to be taught later in life. I started high school as an anxious freshman and transformed into a confident senior in four short years.
