( dm ´ b shärdôN´) (KEY) , 16981762, French sculptor; pupil of Guillaume Coustou. He is known for his fountain in the Rue de Grenelle, Paris, and for numerous works at Versailles, in the Louvre, and in Saint-Sulpice, Paris. Bouchardon was famous for the classical purity of his style. |
