State rapid prototyping.
Explanation of Solution
A group of techniques, which are utilized to fabricate the engineering prototypes of parts using computer-aided design, is known as rapid prototyping (RP).
Machining is the traditional method of prototype part fabrication. This method needs significant lead times like several weeks depends on part complexity and production equipment scheduling. In recent days, rapid prototyping techniques are used to done fabrications in hours or days rather than weeks.
RP techniques are utilized to produce parts, not only prototypes. The construction of assembly or parts in RP techniques is generally done by using additive manufacturing technology or 3D printing.
