Chapter 31, Problem 1RQ
What is the purpose of sequence control?
Expert Solution & Answer
To determine
The purpose of the sequence control.
Explanation of Solution
Consider that the sequence control is used to start or stop the motor in the specified order. The sequence control is used in the case when the motor is required to be operated when the motor in operation.
As the motor cannot start while the other motor is in operation then the running motor should be stopped before it starting the incoming motor. In the machine the order of the starting and the stopping of the motor is then predetermined and controlled by the help of sequence control.
Thus, the purpose of the sequence control is that it start or stop the motor in the machine and in the specific sequence.
