Good day! Everyone,
I’m Simone Bagni. Welcome to this TESOL conference, and thank you for having me share some

you to go through my top 20 writing activities, and of course, I’ll start from number 1.

similar to another idea or thing? CONTRAST: How is it different from others? What makes it
unique? ANALYZE: Divide the whole thing into smaller parts. APPLY: How can it be used? Who
uses it? What can we learn from it? ARGUE: What do you think about it? Good or bad? Right or
wrong? Yes or no? Explain your decision with reasons. I liked this activity because it would help
students show more detail about what they are writing.

Q1- What did you learn from your partner?
A1- I have been really positively impressed from Carol and working together in these 2 weeks. It has
been really easy to organize the days and times to work together even having 14 hours’ time
difference from each other. We were both arriving at the meeting and already ready to
collaborate and decide together the necessary changes to implement in our assignment
together. I learned from Carol that is important each one to do his/her part in the assignment
and then it would be much easier to make the necessary changes. Q2- Was their perception on selecting sound listening activities different from yours? How?
Why?
A2- Actually, we were able to find many activities in common and for the few that we decided to
change together, we were just talking a little bit which one to add and which one to remove and
then it was really easy and simple to do it. Both of us were willing to let some parts of our own
assignments to go to make the final result better. Q3- What was the communication process like as the two of you narrowed down the selection
of activities from 40 to 20?
A3- As I said before to meet and talk over the phone, we already sent to each other our
personal assignments. In this way we could already know the ideas of the other and we could
arrive to the meeting or call already prepared about each other’s ideas. In this way all the
changes we needed to go were much easier and quicker to do.
