Please tell the class about your background and reasons for taking this course and what you expect to gain from this class. Discuss the three primary concerns in macroeconomic analysis. I am 22 years old and originally from Odessa, Texas. I moved to Fort Drum, New York when I joined the Army. I have been in the Army for 2 years as an 11B Infantryman. I joined the Army to use its benefits to continue my college education, my dream is to be a football coach. I chose the infantry so I could do some cool stuff while I'm on active duty. I served one tour in Baghdad, Iraq, and have graduated from Air Assault School since joining. Since moving from Texas to New York, I have picked up a few new interests like snowboarding. I love all sports, especially football. I joined this class to pursue my degree in Sports Management, this class was included in my degree plan, but I feel like it can provide more than just credits to further my education. I expect this class to help me better understand economics and why people make the choices they do. I expect to gain a solid grounding in the basic principles of macroeconomics, and I anticipate that this class will provide me with practical skills that I can apply in a real-world context. I also want to learn about the various economic indicators that are used to measure the health of the economy, such as GDP, inflation, and unemployment rates. I am very excited to take this course and wish everyone good luck!
