Article Description The topic for this week's discussion board is marketing internationally; marketing has always been one of the most important strategies used by firms all over the world to increase their sales and gain more customers. When considering marketing, "the word marketing brings to mind tacky car commercials and pushy salesmen. All too frequently, marketing is confused with publicity or "PR." While a good publicity strategy is an important component of an overall marketing plan, it is only one element of a larger, more complex undertaking." (Lee, 2013) The article chosen comes from The Wall Street Journal, called "Stock Market Today: Dow Dips Ahead of Nvidia's Earnings Results." the article talks about the new methods this company is using to generate more sales by using artificial intelligence and the results they are getting are positive. "Artificial intelligence remains in the spotlight, testing U.S. stocks after the S&P 500 posted its best three-week stretch since 2020." (Hiterstein & Wallerstein, 2023). The reason why I chose this article is because it not only provides a clear example of the main topic for this week, but it is an organization that personally calls my attention to the products that they manufacture and sell. Application        the way the article chosen has an impact in the real world is by applying new technological advances to increase their revenue, and at the same time, their marketing skills show that there are new strategies emerging because of the implementation of artificial intelligence. So, according to this article, the authors state, "Artificial intelligence (AI) helps companies offer important benefits to consumers, such as health monitoring with wearable devices, advice with recommender systems, peace of mind with smart household products, and convenience with voice-activated virtual assistants." (Puntoni et al., 2021).
