Title: The Ikoyi club Payroll Process System
Title: The Ikoyi club Payroll Process System
Ikoyi Club Business Case
The current payroll processing system at Ikoyi Club is a manual process which requires significant time and resources to complete. This system is prone to errors and inconsistencies, which can lead to dissatisfied employees and potential legal issues. To address these challenges, we propose implementing an automated payroll processing system, which will improve efficiency, accuracy and compliance, and reduce costs. This business case outlines the benefits of the proposed change and provides a framework for implementation.
Background:
Our organization currently processes payroll manually, which involves collecting and processing employee data, calculating payroll taxes, issuing checks, and managing deductions and benefits. This process is labour-intensive and requires a significant amount of time and resources. In addition, it is prone to errors, which can result in inaccurate paychecks and upset employees. Furthermore, manual payroll processing is time-consuming, which can lead to delays in employee paychecks and dissatisfied employees.
Benefits of Automated Payroll Processing:
An automated payroll processing system will improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance, while reducing costs. With an automated system, data entry errors are reduced and employee information is easily accessible and organized. The system can also handle complex calculations, such as payroll taxes and benefits deductions, which reduces the potential for errors. An automated system also ensures compliance with labor laws and regulations, which can help to avoid legal issues.
Implementing an Automated Payroll Processing System:
The implementation of an automated payroll processing system requires careful planning and execution. The first step is to evaluate the available options and select the best system for our organization. This will involve working with a vendor
to determine the most suitable system and negotiating the terms of the contract. Once the system is selected, the next step is to develop a plan for implementation. This plan will involve migrating data from the current system to the new system, configuring the system to meet our specific needs, and training staff on how to use the new system.
Conclusion:
An automated payroll processing system will provide numerous benefits to our organization. It will improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance, while reducing costs. However, the implementation of such a system requires careful planning
and execution. Therefore, we recommend that our organization invest in an automated payroll processing system to streamline our payroll processes and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations

7. REA MODEL—CRYOGENICS’ PAYROLL SYSTEM Based on the general information about Cryogenics Inc., in Problem 6, the following describes the com- pany’s payroll procedures for the Tulsa OK, operations. Twice each month Cryogenics’ employees submit their time cards to their respective supervisor, who reviews, approves, and submits them to the payroll department. At that time, the human resources clerk also submits a personnel action form to the payroll clerk. The payroll clerk enters the information from these source documents into the employee records and then adds the employee hours to a payroll regis- ter reflecting employee pay rates, deductions, and job classification. One copy of the payroll register, along with the time cards, is filed in the payroll department, and one copy is sent to the AP depart- ment. Internal control procedures
Dave's Scooters is a small manufacturer of specialty scooters. The company employs 14 production workers and four administrative persons. The following procedures are used to
process the company's weekly payroll:
a. Whenever an employee receives a pay raise, the supervisor must fill out a wage adjustment form, which is signed by the company president. This form is used to change the
employee's wage rate in the payroll system.
b. All employees are required to record their hours worked by clocking in and out on a time clock. Employees must clock out for lunch break. Due to congestion around the time
clock area at lunch time, management has not objected to having one employee clock their entire department in and out.
c. Whenever a salaried employee is terminated, Personnel authorizes Payroll to remove the employee from the payroll system. However, this procedure is not required when an
hourly worker is fired. Hourly employees only receive a paycheck if their…

There are two basic activities in the HR Department. The first is employee maintenance (payroll administration, benefits, and so on),
which is an ongoing activity and requires the same amount of work for each employee regardless of the employee's salary. The
second, called turnover, handles new and departing employees, including all records and orientations (for new employees) and
assurance of procedural integrity (for all departures). Virtually all of this activity occurs when employees are hired or leave the
company.

Payroll Processing SystemHolly employees use a time clock in an unsupervised area to record their time on the job. The time-keeping clerk tries to monitor the process, but is often distracted by other duties. Every Friday, the shop foremen collects the time cards for their subordinates, review and approve them, and deliver them to the payroll clerk. The payroll clerk uses a standalone PC to record the employee earnings in the employee records and print a hard-copy payroll register. The payroll clerk sends one copy of the payroll register to the accounting department. The clerk then files the time cards and a copy of the payroll register in the payroll department. The accounting department clerk receives the payroll register, reviews it for accuracy, and uses the department computer to record the transaction by posting to subsidiary and general ledger ac- counts, including wages expense, cash, and various withholding accounts. The clerk then prints the hard-copy checks, which are…
