Free Spirit Media is a after school program run by non-profit organization in Homan Square. The reason why I chose this site for observation is because their program focused on providing teens and young adults in communities of color on Chicago’s West and South sides with a comprehensive foundation in media literacy and hands-on media production experience and help them pursue artistic, personal and professional aspirations. The session that I chose for observation was introduction level of video
The reason for me wanting to attend CBC is to stay productive after being separated from the Air Force. I enlisted in the Air Force my senior year of High School. I was sent to basic training November of 2015. While I was in Basic training they had diagnosed me with a Cholesteatoma. It is a type of growth that develops in the ear. After 5 week in training I was discharged and sent home. I have spoken to a specialist since returning home and I was notified that my condition was a misdiagnosis. In

Ever since I was a kid, I always wondered where I would go to college. I grew up watching the badgers play football and basketball, and loved the atmosphere. From a young age, I was determined to become a doctor and never strayed from that notion. Neither of my parents attended college as my mother only went to the technical college for culinary school. I never heard all of the great first-hand accounts of college stories and what the experience would be like. As I aged, I started to question people

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few you’ve probably heard about the stories about a creature known as The Slender Man. He looks like a man, but he’s very tall, some say up to 8ft tall, with elongated, stick thin arms and legs. Some art depicts him with black tentacles that protrude from his back which he can retract at will. His face is blank and featureless, almost although it is covered by a thin veil and he’s always wearing a black or pinstripe suit with coattails and sometimes
“Congratulations, you have been accepted to Rutgers University-New Brunswick.” These words were, to me, the words of accomplishment and pride. However, these were not the only words Rutgers University wrote to me. In the Fall of 2015, I was an incoming senior at Hunterdon Central Regional High School. Excited about the years ahead, I applied to many schools throughout the United States. I applied to two schools in Alabama, two schools in Indiana, two schools in New York, and only one in New Jersey-Rutgers

The agents encroached on the Jumping Bull Compound in Oglala, South Dakota of the Pine Ridge reservation, in two separate vehicles that no one could recognize (Incident). In this area, there were several members of the American Indian Movement (AIM). After the intrusion of the agents, someone-and it is unsure who-fired a shot and a shoot out
1975. He was a leader of the group American Indian Movement (AIM) and, by many well-known organizations, believes Peltier is an innocent political prisoner who should be released.
