Throughout this course I have learned about sociology and certain sub-categories. Some of these include social institutions, social hierarchy, and socialization, these are relevant to an educational socialization. But, the sociology that I am going to focus on is related to family. Status, role and reference groups are classified in the sociological studies of family. For reasons that I am focusing on family, is that family is extremely important to me and the bonds that we had is unlike most families
Psychology is important to me, as it is my favourite out of my current A level subjects, and is a subject I regard as important as it can lead to direct improvements to our society, such as reducing crime rates. In particular, the nature verses nurture debate holds great interest to myself, as reading through different biological and social explanations of criminal behaviour highlights the value this debate has in our society. Although psychology is part of everyday life, I find this particular debate
Society is chaotic with different classes of individuals with a clear divide between the bourgeois and proletariat. So who decides the different conflicts that are empowered in sociology. Social change is becoming more frequent affecting our daily lives. It’s surprising how different people have several explanations for what happens in our society, but who actually decides which ideologies are accepted? Crime for example, is one of the aspects I wish to explore, as well as the importance of media

Humans use symbols as guidelines
I learned many interesting, new things in this sociology class. I learned that alarmingly, violence against women appears to be widely acceptable in many countries around the world which is quite an distressing and foreign concept to me. I also learned that human trafficking is disturbingly prevalent in the United States and the need for more attention needs to be brought to this crime. And finally, I learned that prostitution is not a victimless crime. Many women are forced into prostitution
My long term goal is to become a profiler in the BAU. In ten years, I can see myself still in college, working to get a bachelors degree in either psychology or criminal justice, and maybe even in sociology and forensic science. While also gaining at least three years of experience as an agent before applying as a Special Agent and qualifying for at least one of the FBI Special Agent Programs in either law, language, accounting, computer science/information technology, or diversified. I would also
“Sociology offers a perspective, a view of the world. The sociological perspective (or imagination) opens a window onto unfamiliar worlds, and offers a fresh look at unfamiliar ones” (Henslin 4). “Body Ritual among the Nacirema” does exactly that. It allowed me to see my own world and culture, the one I believed was the best with no flaws, in an entirely different way. The language
I based my assumptions about cultural studies of law on what I previously learned in sociology and social problems, which was cultural studies is a method at which we try to explain why issues in society are the way they are, such as inefficient public transit systems in low income areas or police over profiling minorities within a city, in addition I consider that cultural studies of law will examine the affect law has on society and society’s effect on law. After reading Literary and cultural theory:
