Blood transfusions in and of themselves are often used to prevent medical conditions from getting worse. In the eyes of many medical professionals, blood transfusions are a viable and standardized medical procedure to transfer the blood from one patient to another. Many individuals owe their lives to blood transfusions and would certainly not risk going without one depending on their circumstance.
