I had been out of the hospital for two weeks. I was staying on track with my medicine, with the help of my husband Bryon. I have been dealing with depression for a while now and I eventually ended up being emitted to the hospital. I decided to take time off work for a while until I got back in the swing of things. Me and my husband Bryon decided that was the best thing to do. Every day Bryon would make sure I took my medicine in the morning before he went to work and every evening when he got back
It all started on one hot summer day riding in the Jeep with the whole family, windows were down and laughter was floating freely through the air. I can still remember it like it was yesterday; the temperature was about 87 degrees and the humidity wasn’t bad at all. As we were driving down the road, the top down on the Jeep and the radio playing as loud as it could go, my favorite song came on the radio, “Ride the Wind” by Poison. It is so amazing and it always helps when that right songs comes on
One time I learned something about myself was when I was in California with my family. When I was about 15 years old, I was boogie boarding with my sister. While I was doing this a big wave came in and it pushed me under and I got separated from my family and my sister. I didn’t realize that I got separated from them until I decided to get out. Being separated from your family can be a stressful event but after that I learned many things about myself and how I should react in a situation like that
clouds in sight. As I looked out my huge bay window, I could tell the morning was starting and everybody was on their way. I was almost ready for the last day of school at Downey Hills MIddle School. As I was brushing my hair and brushing my teeth, my mom called from downstairs, “come on you are going to be late Cadence.” As mom called up to me I was getting on my favorite pair of jeans, a cute white shirt, my long pink cardigan, and my white sandals with a bow and lots of jewels. I rushed downstairs
As a child, I loved snow! I loved the way it fell from the sky, falling in swirling patterns as I ran around trying to catch one on my tongue. It was a quite a process for my mother to put all the clothing that she thought was necessary. Once this was done, I would run out and open the gate for the dogs, we owned five, they would stick their nose in the snow then slingshot it towards my direction. We would continue this until I grew tired then I would throw a tennis ball for them. I would throw
when many kids start to rebel against their parents. I guess you could say what I did was rebellious. On that beautiful, June day, I learned that if you try something different, like I did with my friend, Addison, it doesn’t change who you are, it’s just a way of learning more about yourself. To give you a little background information, I had been a good kid. I didn’t break the rules (other than talking too much) and I was a terrible liar. If I ever even attempted to lie, I’d get nervous and start
was. I decided to pay him a visit and decide for myself what the problem truly was. When I reached Dr.P’s house, I was approached with a well-organized home with incredible musical inspirations all around. Dr.P greeting me with a tune describing my shoes then my pants, shirt and my nose. Never once did Dr.P address me as a whole, as if he was only able to see me as a unconstructed potato head. He seemed unable to grasp the concept of my persona. After being greeted with the wonderful tune, I decided
I will never forget my life before the Red Death took over my town. Before the Red Death overtook most of my town, I had a great fulfilled life. I was married to the lord and we were part of royalty. My day started at dawn. Mass and prayers would be made and I would be served by my maids; this is also the time where my maids would help me get my dress on for the day. After breakfast I had discussions about many of things such as tournaments and poetry. My favorite part of the day was when I
While reading Leo Buscaglia's book, Living, Loving & Learning, I was able to reflect back on some of the experiences I have had in my life that have helped to make me the person I am today, and I was able to look into the future at what I would like to become. I was able to see how well I know myself and what I have to offer others. I was able to see the things I don't like about myself and determine some of the ways I can make myself better. This is some of what reflecting on my life and
I was 12 when we first moved into our house in Hawaii. It was a huge change in our lifestyle. We had come from Canada where we were used to cold weather and short summers. But Hawaii was the opposite of this. Everything was going great for a while. I really liked my school, the people, and the beaches that would take your breath away. Most of all I love my house. It was gorgeous! As you walked up to it, there was a big blue door that matched the colour of my eyes. With tall ceilings, a giant kitchen
