“Thank you, thank you, thank you! You guys are the best parents in the world!” I said. “You’re welcome sweetie.” said my mom and dad. When I found out that I was riding at the Goodells 4-H Fair, I freaked out! It was my second year at Fair. I did a class called Horseless Horse the year before because you have to be 9 to ride and I was only 8 years old and called a participant. But that’s okay I still got to work with horses and that’s all that mattered to me. Now back to the main story. The
Cock-a-doodle-dooo! Is what the rooster said when I had first stepped inside of the poultry barn at the Wisconsin Valley Fair. For as long as I can remember, I had always wanted to show something at the fair, and my mind was set, after firmly debating about pigs, I would be showing chickens. It all really started when I was about six or seven, when my family and I went to the fair. It didn’t matter that showing wasn’t going on, I just wanted to see all of the animals. I was the most fascinated by

My 4-H story starts at the Marshfield Fair. I used to visit the fair every year, and dreamed about having an animal like the “big kids”. Then, as I got older, I stopped visiting the fair. The idea slowly faded from my mind. Then, when I was in fifth grade, ne of my friends came in wearing a shirt that had the 4-H clover on it. When I asked her about it, she explained that 4-H members are the kids who bring the animals to the Marshfield Fair. I instantly knew that I wanted to join 4-H.So when I was
My experience with the Org Fair was quite overwhelming due to the amounts of organizations and the amount of people. There were tons of organizations that wanted you to join and at times it was overwhelming because they would use food as an influencing factor. In addition to all the organizations, the amount of people was a problem, so walking from table to table became extremely difficult. Overall, my experience while at the Org Fair was very successful because I was able to sign up for the organizations
“This is going to be the best night of our lives!” Judy exclaimed as they walked up to the fair. Her excitement was felt by the rest of her comrades, who could not help but be swept up in the feeling. “I can’t wait to see all of those other ban-,” Joe whispered sadly as he gazed upon the fifty other up-and-coming groups. “But we may still have a shot. Good thing we have those instruments in the bus,” Janet interjected. “I have a good feeling about this,” commented James with a smirk. He was up to
Being the Sauk County Jr. Fairest of the Fair is a big responsibility and honor. I have the cabiliablity to meet the requirements for this position. Is it humane to show at the county fair? Is it worse that kids in 4-H are making money for showing off projects that are actually animals with their own rights to live free? It is not inhumane for kids to show and sell animals at the county fair because those kids are learning what farming is like in that aspect. They are also working with those animals for very long periods of time to get them to learn to do what the child wants them to do. The animals are also known as projects because the kids
For our project, we wanted to pick the topic, “Is fair value accounting really fair?” The first part of our presentation was simply explaining what fair value accounting is. This is the amount for which an asset could be exchanged, or a liability settled, between knowledgeable, willing parties in an arm’s length transactions. According to the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the price that would be received to sell an asset or price to transfer a liability in an orderly transaction between market
Getting Lost at the L.A County Fair I turned around and at that moment I realized I was lost. Field Trips are always exciting growing up because it's a day off of school until you get lost. I always looked forward to going on field trips growing up. To me it was an opportunity to miss class but also learn new exciting things. Every year in middle school, my school went to the Los Angeles County Fair in the beginning of September. Since it was the beginning of the school year, it was a fun time
