Basketball was universal, when I would go to the basketball court I didn't need to know anyone I could just play. Most of the friends I made outside of school out of the United States came from the basketball court. In Canada it was stress relief after high school, I’d go play for hours after school just to forget about the pressures of every day
Imagine putting in hours of work and putting yourself at risk of injury at your job and not getting paid for it. That is what college athletes are dealing with. I and many other basketball/football fans think It is unfair that college athletes are not getting paid, just like how there are many people who think they should not get paid to compete even though they put in many hours and hard work to entertain us. Some people think it would not be fair, that they would not be smart with their money

teaching job right out of college at my former middle school. I stayed there four years and then moved over to the high school for a year. I had been an assistant and JV basketball coach at the high school for all of those years. I was denied an opportunity to take over as head coach when the job became open as I was devastated. However, an opening became available for the same position at another high school in the county. I got the job as a PE teacher and boy’s basketball coach and I have been there
Mangano Intro to College Writing 10/10/2017 Glory Road vs Remember the Titans The movie “Glory Road,” is the stereotypical disney sports movie. The movie is about a college basketball team that had recruited more black than white players, the team was not supposed to win many games but they quickly went right past their expectations, and went all the way to being the best team in college. The movie is based on a basketball team in 1966. Texas Western won the NCAA basketball championship while
accurate shots in basketball, so that I can make the traveling team next week, or perhaps next year. I need to become superior with singing my song I will perform in this year’s play. I can also have stunning grades if I can get into the habit of asking exactly what we are supposed to do for assignments in class. By working to achieve these goals, I can compete with myself to become the best I can possibly be. By completing these goals in 2017, I can also be more prepared for college. As H. Jackson
The average attendance of a Big 12 Conference basketball game in the 2014-2015 season was 10,289 for men and 4,002 for women. This represents a huge issue for TCU because the school has fallen well below the conference average. The average attendance for a TCU Men’s basketball game in 2014 was 4,955; as one of the big three moneymaker sports for men this represents a huge loss of potential revenue. The numbers are not much better on the women’s side, with an average attendance of 1,415. TCU is
the game, is a recreational. Officiating is also only part-time in nearly all instances and "the vast majority would have second jobs" (What's It Like Being a NCAA Basketball Referee?). However, what distances officiating from being part-time and recreational is the lucrative pay. For example, for a game in the Albuquerque Youth Basketball League, regardless of grade level, which ranges from 2nd to 8th, the referee is payed $22 per game. Games are typically an hour in this league and mostly held on
