It was the Summer of 2016 and My family and I were deciding where to go for vacation. I had suggested we go to Hawaii. At first they said no because of how expensive it was. But after a lot of convincing they finally agreed. I was very happy and couldn’t wait to go and think about how fun it was going to be. Time wasn’t passing by as fast as I wanted it to go. It was the day before the trip and we had to start packing. Our plane was at 4 a.m. and my dad made us leave 3 hours earlier because the airport
Colombian Exchange was the period of cultural and biological exchanges between New and Old Worlds following Columbus’ arrival in the Caribbean in 1492. World War II and Pearl Harbor has been the most rewarding experience I have had in a long time. He is ninety-two years old and it is amazing to see how good he still looks. I have known him since my family and I moved to Fort Campbell, KY. He has an amazing spirit and everyone in the neighborhood knows him and respects him. The Pearl Harbor Spies On 7 December 1941, the Japan Naval fleet launched a precise and devastating bombing of Pearl Harbor, which stunned the United States. However, the Pearl Harbor bombing became an everlasting memory to Americans. Two little known contributors to this event had a profound effect on
James Harold “Jimmy” Doolittle is best remembered for his accomplishments during World War II. The attack on Japan following the attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese was led by Jimmy Doolittle, and was later titled, “The Doolittle Raid.” Even though this was a remarkable accomplishment, most aviators during this time thought the raid would be nothing more than a suicide mission. In order to complete this raid, the United States’ most senior commanders had to select an individual with a vast
