Honey Bee Sting Pain Index by Body Location is a self-induced experiment by Michael Smith. He was trying to determine how the location of a sting by a honey bee influenced pain. He also was curious which locations would be considered the most and least painful. In order to establish this, Smith used a four-point scale in order to quantify the painfulness by location, along with a reference point. The European honey bee sting was used as the stimulus in this experiment. Prior to the experiment, Smith
The morning sunshine seeped through the cracks between my shutters, lighting up my room. I could hear the clock ticking and the rays of sunlight bouncing off of my eyelids. I barely got any sleep last night because I was ecstatic that tomorrow was, my birthday! I jumped up out of bed, how could I have forgotten that it was my birthday? Suddenly all of my drowsiness turned it into excitement and I jumped up, throwing the red gradient quilt off of my bed. I slowly walked out of my room, making very
you are stung by a bee for the first time you won’t have a severe allergic reaction, even if you first reaction is mild the reactions get worse with each sting you receive from the bee. Most bees can sting more than once, but it depends on the type of bee it is. Honey bees for example die after the first sting they give you. Only female bees and wasp can sting you because venom pumped from attached venom sacs, is injected into the victim through stylus. When a bee or wasp stings you, the lancets become

roads weren’t even paved. He also described how the town was before “the skies were not cut into lanes and sliced by overhead powerlines” (King 406). Summer is the time for vacations, adventures, and relaxation. However, some family trips can be unpredictable. There is one particular family trip that comes to mind. We got up early to pack up our twenty- eight foot pontoon boat with everything we needed for the day. Summer was in full swing. We were excited to spend the day at the lake with family and friends. Today was the day we were going to try Lake Roosevelt because we heard that it is the perfect place to swim, boat and relax. Just as

Apitherapy is the use of honey bee products in treating illnesses and diseases. Apis means “bee” while “therapy” is a treatment intended to relieve or heal a disorder. The different products derived from the beehive which can be used in apitherapy are: honey, pollen, propolis, venom, wax and royal jelly. Being from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds, we all have been exposed to honey bees and their products in unique ways. Despite our differences, collectively, we share great interest in

In the book it said that was one reason why her parents were divorced because her mother thought he loved the car more than her. Her father told her to get two disks and drive to where they eat ice cream most of the time. In my opinion I felt
