Autism is a complex developmental disability and the result of a neurological disorder that affects the functioning of the brain (Talbot, Astbury, and Mason). The disorder effects the regions of social interaction, communication, and imagination, which is known as the Triad of Impairment. Autism is a lifelong condition that currently has no known cure.
