One of the most important benefits of developing a prototype during the requirements elicitation process is that it allows customers and end users to interact with the system and learn more about it. By seeing and engaging with the system, they may have a better understanding of how technology may be used to support them in their profession. Using prototypes for requirements elicitation has a number of advantages, but it also has certain disadvantages, which we shall examine in this section.
