Oxides of carbon exists as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, in which both has its significant response. Carbon monoxide when produced as graphite and it will be used as red-hot coke and can be used as fuel. Carbon-dioxide will be engaged in respiration in all living organisms. Oxides of sulfur is also used as fuel, but it has so much of side effects. So, the bonding with oxygen will have great impact.
