Oxidation-Reduction reaction: In this reaction, halobenzene is converted into the corresponding acid by using Grignard reagent and in acidic condition and then the formed acid is reduced by using LAH in water to produce an “alcohol”.- Oxidation reaction: In this reaction, reagent is sodium dichromate, it is an oxidizing agent followed by adding sulfuric acid and water produce corresponding acid then followed by reduction using LAH to produce corresponding alcohol.
