Introduction:
The red blood cells (RBCs) are the most abundant cells present in the blood. They constitute about 99% of the formed elements of blood. These cells transport oxygen to different cells of the body via binding of oxygen to hemoglobin. RBCs are also responsible for the removal of carbon dioxide from the cells.
