There are three kinds of blood vessels in the human body, namely arteries, capillaries, and veins. With the contraction of heart muscles, the blood flows to big arteries leaving the ventricles of the heart. Blood that flows away from the capillaries is collected by venules which are small veins that combine with larger veins and later drain in the heart.
