Introduction:
The majority of the anterior compartment muscles used for the flexion of the wrist and fingers that arise from the tendon of the humerus. The tendon of the palmaris longus passes over the flexor retinaculum at the distal end and the other tendons pass beneath it, through the carpal tunnel.
