3.Single displacement reaction :

The type of reaction where more active/ reactive element  displaces the less reactive element from its compound or solution .

4.Double displacement reaction :

This is the type of reaction where two chemical compounds react in the manner that there is mutual exchange of their contributing ions (cation/anion ) to form a completely different compound or new compound.
