Carl Rogers was the founder of the person-centered therapy also called as Rogers therapy. It was a purely non- directive form of psychotherapy that made interaction with patients or clients in a way that patients gradually becomes aware of the conflicts, drives and force. Here, three main things are in focus. One, Unconditional positive regard, as per Rogers the client- therapist’s therapeutic alliance is only possible and the client is able to open up about the issues if unconditional positive regard is initiated towards the client which is followed by empathetic listening. Whatever issues the client is facing is the utmost crises of their life, that is why the client is seeking the help of the therapist. And finally, being authentic and true.
