Introduction:
The spinal cord along with the brain makes the central nervous system (CNS). It is an extension of the brainstem and serves as a communication link between the peripheral nervous system (PNS) and the CNS. The lowest tip of the spinal cord makes the CONUS MEDULARIS. From this arises a thin thread called filum terminale that leads up to the first coccygeal vertebra and anchors the spinal cord.
