Why is much of the world’s tropical forest biome located along the equator?

Equator is the region the warm temperature throughout the year. It receives maximum precipitation on the earth. So it is considered as the most humid and warm area present on the earth.

The kind of the conditions present in the equator are most beneficial for the growth of flora. The decomposition of the organic matter from the plants and trees created a humus layer which provides nutrients to the flora and enhances their growth.
