Why did the Tokugawa Shogunate decide to isolate Japan from foreign influence?

Introduction:

Tokugawa Shogunate is a political ideology of Japan. It was a feudal military form of government  which governed during the Edo Period of the Japanese history. This period of which Shogunate was the dictator and had leadership within Japan was the last period of traditional or classical Japan. Under this period Japanese civilization saw economic growth, peace and stability all over.
