Introduction
The nervous system is a system that consists of brain, spinal cord and nerves that coordinates and transmits signals between different areas of the body.
The system is divided into two parts namely central nervous system(CNS) and the peripheral system(PNS), where the CNS contains brain and spinal cord while the PNS contains the associated nerves and the PNS has two components called the somatic and autonomic nervous system.
Also the autonomic nervous system comprises of two parts namely the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system where the sympathetic nervous system activates the fight or flight response.
