Function

The lymph nodes help in supplying and producing lymphocytes which are an integral part of the immune system.
Inside the sub-capsular sinus of the lymph node, follicles in the cortex are a major site for B-cell proliferation.
The interfollicular zone of the lymph node is the site for T-cell differentiation and proliferation.
In lymph nodes, antigens are filtered from the extracellular fluid and 99% of the antigens are removed.
