What were the arguments for and against imperialism?
Imperialism is a political system where a rich powerful country dominates and controls the land and people, administration of other civilizations or countries who are not so powerful and rich.
During the 15th and 16th century Spain and Portugal were powerful forces of Europe started to colonize the American lands and Asian lands.
Later in the 18th and 19th centuries, ot5her European powers Britain, France, Germany, Italy, and Belgium had set up their colonies in Asia and Africa.
The US itself was the collection of thirteen British colonies who declared themselves free from the rule of the King of Britain. Later when the US became a powerful country, it colonize the Philippines and Cuba.
