At the beginning of 1914, tensions were seen throughout the world due to military conflicts. It included events like Germany's unification and Prussian victory over France. Thus, war was imminent. Therefore, by 1914, a war began which would be called World War 1 or the Great War which would cause a lot of devastation and lead to even worse consequences socially, economically, and politically.

The war was fought between two major sides, one was called the Central Powers and the other was the Allied Powers, which was earlier called Triple Entente, but ceased to be after Russia left. The basis of the war was growing Imperialism, Nationalism, the need to control as many colonies, and mercantilism.
