What is the professional judgment test?
Professional judgment:-
Professional judgment is the value system within which each professional operates (Daft, 2000). In other words, the way they view the world determines how they behave in it (Keast & Quintanilla 2010). When deciding what their best course of action is in any given situation, professionals will use their knowledge and understanding as developed through years of training. Professionals will also draw from what is outlined in their organisations' codes of conduct or codes of ethics when making ethical decisions within their own work setting. For example, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants states that: the Professional Judgment Test provides one framework to determine whether the auditor complied with generally accepted auditing standards and this framework includes evaluating if due consideration was given to alternative courses of action consistent with the circumstances.
