Under the branch of psychology stress is defined as the most encountered problem in human beings. It can be described as any kind of alteration that creates affective, cognitive, physiological or psychological strain. Stress can be explained as body's reaction to those aspects that require immediate attention. Although stress under most circumstances is anticipated negatively, it has both positive and negative elements and can be classified under two types
EUSTRESS: It can be defined as healthy levels of stress that motivates the individual to carry out a certain task in order to achieve a goal for e.g. studying in order to gain good academic grades.
DISTRESS: It can be identified as unpleasant and pessimistic state of mind in which managing and constructive operations fail to bring organism back in physiological and psychological well being. Prolonged exposure to distress can result in severe maladaptive conditions. Several factors are influential for conversion of stress into distress, the most prominent being the intensity and duration of stress.
