Manage the Office of Supply Chain and Logistics staff: 20%
• Directly manage staff.
• Complete all typical management duties (e.g., recruit/hire and orient new staff,
coach/train staff, provide feedback/recognition, support company policies, give
performance reviews, hold staff accountable, complete necessary paperwork, schedule
staff, control expenses and turnover, conduct staff meetings, oversee mission and
measures, work on process improvements, etc.)
Develop and implement supply chain processes and policy for the organization: 40%
• Develop coherent company supply chain and logistics strategy, including soliciting input
from key members of the management team and other stakeholders, making
recommendations to the CEO.
• Evaluate past performance data to forecast needs and inventory levels.
• Develop and implement supply chain and distribution best practices (e.g., systems
integration and optimization, vendor performance analysis, demand forecasting and
planning, SKU optimization, inbound traffic management, etc.) in order to ensure
improved productivity, quality, and efficiency
• Ensure that issues regarding new/existing products category Supply Chain strategies
effectively support the business needs and supply/ logistics constraints are resolved in a
timely and cost-efficient manner.
• Integrate contract management, policies and governance, performance measurement,
supplier relationship management, supply chain benchmarking and strategy assessment,
change management and technology into company-wide practices.
• Establish and monitor vendor capacity/distribution capabilities to ensure that all quality,
cost and service expectations are met.
• Coordinate with key members of the company management team to ensure a unified
approach to company’s suppliers and the market.
• Benchmark supply chain processes and develop best practices to optimize overall supply
chain operations.
Responsible for realized cost savings due to optimized supply chain processes: 40%
• Drive operational excellence and best practices across the organization, reducing cost by
5% per year.
• Direct team in developing new processes to increase productivity, quality, efficiency, and
effectiveness.
• Develop communications for management and staff to increase their understanding of the
timing required and individual input necessary to make the process run smoothly.
• Manage the relationships between information technology systems, operational
excellence and merchandising operations.
• Monitor and ensure that meetings are facilitated to coordinate and communicate with all
necessary staff, particularly systems development staff, to ensure successful
implementation.
• Establish work plans for each phase of implementation, assigning duties, responsibilities,
and scope of authority.
• Review implementation project proposal or plan to determine time frame, procedures for
accomplishing project, project team members, and allotment of available resources. •
Ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget.
• Develop and implement revenue strategies with suppliers/vendors in accordance with the
annual departmental budgets.

Educations and/or Experience:

• 5+ years of senior level management experience
• 10+ years buying experience and 5+ years re-buying experience.
