What direction would the force point on a test charge placed between parallel plates with one connected to a negative terminal of the battery while another is connected to the positive terminal of a battery? What about on either side of the parallel plates? Explain in terms of force.

For this question, I assume the test charge is positive and that the force would point in the direction of the electric field (high to low toward the negatively charged plate). If placed outside of the positive plate, I assume the force would travel in the same direction as the E-Field (high to low). If on the other side of the negative plate, wouldn't the force travel opposite to the E-field lines?
