Mechanism of the eye:
The eye receives the light into the retinal region. The rods and cons form the photoreceptors of the eye, that function to convert the received light into electrical signals. The optic nerve carries these electrical signals to the brain. Upon receiving the signals, the brain converts them into images that are seen.
