We know that The human brain is composed of three different regions. These are the forebrain, midbrain, and hindbrain. The outermost region of the brain is termed the forebrain, the middle region is called the midbrain, and the innermost part is known as the forebrain.

The limbic system is an area of the brain involved with memory and emotions. The things that are included in a limbic system are a follows:

• Olfactory cortex
• Deep cortical regions
• Various nuclei

The autonomic nervous system, together with the hypothalamus, regulates blood pressure, pulse, and breathing. The hippocampus plays an essential role in the formation of declarative memories. This system is responsible for influencing emotions, and this can also influence the visceral responses to motivation, mood, and sensation of pain. Some of the survival instincts that are associated with this system are the acquisition of nutrients and reproduction.

Olfactory nerves are one of the sources that send sensory inputs into the limbic system. When a person thinks about the food or smells the food, then in the hypothalamus of that person, the sense of hunger is stimulated which would motivate that person to look for the food.
