What are the functions of B lymphocytes?
Immunology is an important branch of biology which include the study of immunity of different organisms and the relation of immunology with diseases. Immunity is the defense mechanism of organisms against different foreign infectious agents such as viruses and bacteria.
There are two defense mechanisms of immunity:
1) Innate immunity: antigen-independent, non-specific mechanism.
2) adaptive immunity: antigen-dependent, specific mechanism.
Fever helps to decrease the infection of the pathogen, as the body temperature increases some pathogens cannot survive in high temperature, so fever is like a heat shock for infectious agents, and helps to lower the infection. research also mentions that fever helps to activate an immune response, increases the movement of immune cells, and antibodies.
Organ transplantation is the process of transferring tissues, cells, and organs (eg, heart, liver, lung etc.) from one person to another.
