What are some stressors students face?
Stress can be defined as the changes which occurs in our mental physical emotional and behavioural patterns in response to a stimulus. Broadly there are two types of stress, Eustress and Distress further it can be understood under four more sub-categories which are chronic Eustress and acute Eustress and chronic distress and acute distress.
Eustress: It is also known as good stress basically it is the optimal stress required to achieve something, let's take an example if someone wants to score good in academics then a minimal level of stress is required which motivates the individual to study. If there is no stress the individual is less likely to be motivated towards his/her goals.
Distress: It is also known as bad stress, it can be defined as how our body responds when we our unable to maintain the balance between what is expected from us and what we are able to deliver. It can also be explained as when an individual is unable to full fill the requirements of its environment, this condition creates stress. For example: A student is unable to focus on studies due to exam stress.
