Platyhelminthes are also known as "flatworms" because as they are dorsoventrally flattened from head to tail. They are invertebrate, soft-bodied, acoelomate, unsegmented and have bilateral symmetry.

Insect belongs to the category of invertebrates and the phylum, arthropods. The mode of translocation includes walking, flying or sometimes swimming. The respiration is carried out with the help of a system of internal tubes and sacs that enables the diffusion of gases rather than a pair of lungs. Also, tracheoles serve the function of oxygen delivery, the circulatory system is reduced.
