Is what our senses grasp really reality, Or just an appearance with respect to our being, With our minds receiving, and our hearts believing, As dreams are, when we awaken with an injured dignity? Is what we call real just an appearance, like a mirage Which blends into nothingness when examined closely A conscious perception which exists undoubtedly Until deeper insight transforms it into just an image? Is man really what we see every passing day, Or just a group of particles, as microscopes grant?
